If you leave a comment on the site (nice ones only, please 😄), we collect the info you provide in the comment form—plus your IP address and browser info to help us stop spam faster than you can say “hotlinking.”
We may also generate an anonymized version of your email address (a “hash”) to see if you use Gravatar. If you do, your lovely avatar might show up alongside your comment. Their privacy policy lives here: https://automattic.com/privacy/

If you upload images (rare, but possible), avoid sharing ones with sneaky location data (EXIF GPS). Otherwise, curious visitors might extract that info, and no one needs to know you took that pic from your nan’s kitchen.

- Edit or publish a post? A cookie stores the post ID. It’s harmless and expires in 1 day.
Embedded Content from Other Websites
We occasionally embed videos, images, or articles from outside sources. These work just like visiting the site they came from. They might collect data, use cookies, or track your interaction—especially if you’re logged in on their site (looking at you, YouTube).
Who We Share Your Data With

If you create an account (which isn’t common here), your personal info lives in your profile. You can view, edit, or delete it anytime (except your username—sorry, that’s locked in). Admins can see and edit that info too.
Your Rights Over Your Data
If you’ve left comments or have an account, you can request:
- A copy of all the personal data we have on you
- That we delete any personal data we’ve got (unless we legally have to keep it)
To do this, just get in touch. We promise not to make it awkward.
Where Your Data Goes
Visitor comments may go through an automatic spam filter, because nobody likes bots pretending to be human.
